My firstborn was a challenging sleeper, and despite promising myself it’d be “easier” the second time around, my daughter proved even more difficult. I found myself caught in an exhausting cycle—two children who wouldn’t sleep, nights that felt endless, eyes sore and gritty from lack of sleep as the sun came up, and days spent wondering what I was doing wrong.

I became “the mum whose kids don’t sleep,” flooded with well-meaning advice that didn’t align with my parenting values—especially the suggestion to simply close the door and let them cry. At my breaking point, I knew something had to change. Reaching out to a gentle sleep consultant transformed everything. Her guidance was the turning point that led me, slowly but surely, to the holy grail: sleep.

With a Bachelor of Social Science (Sociology and Psychology), a Diploma of Community Services, and a career working with clients from babies through to the elderly, I’ve always been passionate about helping others. Motherhood—and my own sleep struggles—deepened that purpose. After seeing the profound impact that healthy sleep habits had on both my children and myself, I went on to become a qualified Sleep Consultant so I could offer an alternative to traditional sleep training.
