      <image:caption>My Approach Sleep is rarely just about sleep. If your baby or child is waking often, resisting bedtime, feeding through the night, or only settling one very specific way, there is usually more going on than a “sleep problem”. My approach looks at the full picture so we can make sense of what is happening and change it in a way that is realistic, responsive and sustainable. A whole-picture lens I work from the understanding that children’s sleep is shaped by far more than age and routines. Biology matters. Temperament matters. Feeding matters. So do development, family dynamics, maternal mental load, capacity, support, and the pressure modern parents are under every single day. That means I do not start with a script. I look at the patterns, the context, and the practical realities of your family life. Then we focus on the changes that will actually move things forward. What support may involve Depending on your child and your circumstances, support may include: Understanding what is driving your child’s sleep disruption Looking at feeding, hunger, and night waking patterns Reviewing naps, bedtime, and daily rhythm Working with your child’s temperament and regulation needs Reducing battles around settling, cot transfers, or bedtime Making sense of early rising, split nights, or frequent wakes Supporting a responsive approach with clearer boundaries Helping both parents feel more aligned and confident Creating a plan that fits real family life What this work can help you achieve For babies over 6 months, the goal is long-term sustainable improvement, sleeping through the night, smoother more consistent naps, and a sense of reconnection with yourself, your baby, and your partner. More broadly, this work helps create calmer evenings, more predictable nights, less second-guessing, and a clearer understanding of what your child needs. It gives you practical support, realistic strategies, and a flexible plan that evolves as we work and responds to your child’s needs. The Truth Modern parenting asks families to do an extraordinary job with very little support. Parents are expected to raise children responsively, function on broken sleep, absorb endless advice, and somehow stay calm, informed, and productive through it all. No wonder sleep can feel loaded. No wonder it can affect everything. A better way forward You do not need more noise, more guilt, or another rigid method that ignores your baby, your values, or your life. You need clear thinking, honest guidance, and an approach that respects both the science and the reality of raising small children. That is the work. And that is where change begins. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all sleep plans. And I don’t believe parents need more shame or judgement. I offer a holistic and personal approach to parenting, providing education and assistance with baby and toddler sleep, ensuring they are feeding/eating well, as well as providing a non-judgemental ear to listen and an understanding shoulder to cry on. Through this structured, responsive support, we will: ✔ Address overtiredness and cortisol patterns ✔ Align timing with biological rhythms ✔ Reduce night waking gently and clearly ✔ Support nap consolidation ✔ Shift sleep associations ✔ Gently night wean as biologically appropriate ✔ Create toddler boundaries that feel calm, not chaotic ✔ Strengthen partnership between caregivers ✔ Create calm and confidence within your home Families commonly report: • Consolidated 10-12 hour nights • Longer, more restorative naps • Calm, predictable bedtimes • Reduced parental anxiety • Less resentment between partners • Clearer division of roles • More patience with toddlers • Increased confidence • Evenings back and time together • Increased joy and experience of parenthood Sleep doesn’t just improve nights.
